Technical Support Analyst

Typical Accountabilities

• Serve as the primary IT support contact, providing timely and effective assistance to users on relevant software environments
• Assist users with troubleshooting, training, and device support through the AskIT desk
• Install, configure, and upgrade software applications and operating systems, ensuring compliance with IT standards
• Handle incident requests and call out technical issues when vital to ensure timely resolution
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including control of equipment loans and assignments
• Perform preventive maintenance on computing equipment, including cleaning, testing, and system health checks
• Replace or repair hardware components
• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for IT equipment assigned to employees
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve sophisticated or advanced incidents and maintain IT performance
• Ensure security protocol compliance and alignment to company policies
• Support the maintenance and availability of IT infrastructure across the site, including basic network tackle
• Participate in administrative tasks relevant to the IT support area
• Build and update documentation and user guides when needed

Essential Requirements

• Technical expertise in supporting Windows and Mac operating systems

• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration and user support
• Demonstrable experience installing, configuring, and updating software applications
• Practical knowledge of troubleshooting software and hardware issues on desktops and laptops
• Skilled in preventive maintenance and basic hardware repairs (e.g., changing displays, keyboards, batteries)
• Experience managing service desk requests, ticketing systems, and supervising inventory
• Ability to follow IT security protocols and company compliance guidelines
• Good communication and customer service skills, with capacity to explain technical issues clearly
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and multi-functionally within IT teams

Desirable Requirements

• Experience supporting and maintaining conference rooms, ideally with CISCO equipment (video conferencing, telephony, and AV integration)
• Knowledge of IT asset management standard methodologies
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, or similar
• Experience crafting user-friendly guides and instructional materials
• Basic understanding of networking principles (VLANs, DHCP, DNS)
• Industry certifications in areas such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or Apple support
